EASTMAN - Services for Mr. Eugene (Gene) Stuckey, 69, of Jonesboro, formerly of Rhine, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains with Rev. Dan Ariail officiating. Burial will take place at 1 p.m. in Bay Springs Cemetery, Rhine.

Mr. Stuckey was the son of the late Dora Bell Hardy Stuckey and John D. Stuckey. He was born in Dodge County on August 4, 1938 and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. He was a board member of the Board of Public Safety/State of Georgia. Owner of Stuckey Property Management and Stuckey Pine Straw and owner/operator of Plains Bed and Breakfast. Mr. Stuckey was preceded in death by a brother, Hardy Stuckey. He died Thursday.

Survivors include his wife, Jill Pickenpaugh Stuckey of Jonesboro; stepson, Brian Davis of Moultrie; two sisters, Annie Belle Douglas of Atlanta and Emma Lou Douglass (Willie) of Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, twin brother - Talmadge Stuckey (Reva) of Macon, Jack Stuckey (Bonnie) of Green Cove Springs, Fla., and Oscar Stuckey of Cordele; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Stuckey will lie in state at the Plains Bed and Breakfast from Saturday until service time on Monday. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. in Plains Bed and Breakfast.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to The Carter Center, Copeland Avenue, Atlanta or the Ossabaw Island Foundation.
