Funeral services for Larry Henry Scott, 63, of East Dublin, Georgia will be held at 2:00
p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008 in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will
follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Bob Brown, Speaker Judy Thigpen and
Rev. Chris Scott will officiate.
Mr. Scott was born in Chatham County. He was the son of the late Alton Ray Scott and the
late Julia T. Scott. Mr. Scott was a resident of Laurens County for most of his life. He
was a US Navy Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He worked for Colonial Baking Company for a
number of years. He was owner of Scott's Roofing Company. He died Wednesday at his home.
Survivors include his wife Bobbie Jean Scott of East Dublin; son and daughter in law -
Chris and Becky Scott of Dublin; daughter and son in law - Maurie and Neal Johns of East
Dublin; daughter and son in law - Penny and Michael Baker of Ashville, NC; Grandchildren -
Caleb, Micah, and Ruthie Scott of Dublin, Amber and Josh Upshaw of East Dublin, Nick,
Anthony and Samantha Johns of East Dublin, Meagan and Jordan Baker of Ashville, North
Carolina; great-grandchildren - Caden and Kayson Upshaw of East Dublin; brother - Everett
(Carolyn) Scott; sisters - Angelo (John) Fulghum, Gail (Ronnie) Rogers, Connie (Jerry)
Pallbearers will be Neal Johns, Stuart Harrell, David Upshaw, Paul Mullis, Richie Sharp,
Darrell Thigpen, Byron Stewart, Dale Fulghum
The family will receive friends at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home Friday from 5:00 p.m.
until 7:00 p.m.
