The Georgia Gourd Society 8th annual Show “Whispering to the Artist” invites all to our gourd show on July 30 - August 1st, 2010 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, Georgia at the Georgia building. The hours are Friday—1:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday 9:00 am to 4:00 p.m. Best of all — it’s free! No fee! All parts of the venue will be inside in the cool air conditioning. Our competition is second to none in the gourd world. You will see fine art at its finest and wonderful functional pieces. There will be gourd lamps, gourd water container, bowls, statuary, wall hanging, vases, oil lamps, whimsical pieces, toys, ornaments and many, many more. We will have finished gourds, raw gourds, gourd supplies, demos, classes and much more. We will also have a dinner on-site, tickets can be purchased on our website, and a silent and live auction which is usually very lively!
