NOTICE OF SEIZURE AND NOTICE OF COMPLAINT FOR
To any and all persons having an interest in or right affected by the above-captioned action and by any sale of the aforesaid property resulting therefrom, and who are entitled by law to notice or service by publication.
You are hereby notified that the above styled-action, seeking forfeiture of the property described below, was filed on the 9th day of June 2017, in the office of the Clerk of Laurens Superior Court, seeking to forfeit certain property described as follows to wit:
Four Hundred Sixty-Four Dollars ($464.00) United States Currency; One (1) Digital Scale.
The aforesaid property was seized fro m Kevin D. Bell on May 17,2017, in Laurens County, Georgia. The property was declared contraband and seized pursuant to Official Code of Georgia § 16-13-49.
The conduct giving rise to the seizure was as follows:
On May 17, 2017, an officer of the Dublin Police Department, executed a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Kevin Dion Bell at the Coney Street Apartments located in the city limits of Dublin, Georgia, County of Laurens. Upon a search of the vehicle, officers discovered packaged cocaine.
The violation of law alleged is as follows:
O.C.G.A. § 40-8-22 / Headlight Requirements
O.C.G.A. § 16-10-24 / Obstructing or Hindering Law Enforcement
O.C.G.A. § 40-6-253 / Possession of open Alcohol Container
O.C.G.A. S 16-13-30(A) - Possession of a Schedule II Controlled
16-13-32.2 - Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects
16-13-3Q(B1 - Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled
You are hereby required to file with the Clerk of Laurens Superior Court and serve upon the District Attorney for the Dublin Judicial Circuit, whose name and address is as follows:

an answer, conforming to the requirement of law, to the foregoing Complaint within thirty (30) days of the date of final publication of this notice, asserting a claim against the said property.
If at the expiration of the thirty (30) days, as set forth above, no answer has been filed, the court shall grant the relief sought by the Plaintiff and the court shall forfeit the said property and order the disposition of the property as provided by law.
