please print this in your newspaper during a stay in Blooms hotel in Dublin city centre, we had notification of a dead in our party. one of our rooms subsequently could not be taken and a request was made to have this room charge deducted from our total bill.. (a room which was not viewed, let alone disturbed) . Blooms refused on the grounds that it was not cancelled in the required 48 hour advance period. This death was sudden but blooms would not accept this as a valid explanation. totally unacceptable behaviour considering the party of 31 ate and drank on the premised for over 8hrs spending over £2000.
